Woweee!!!

Ya'll wanna know something? I have a spanking brand new PC (ooo yeah!) and to tell u the truth, i'm crying to pieces! (I'm not really...well i should!) Really...to me this is what all gamers should have and nothing less. But it really depends on everybody. You see...this new PC costs me....well...my bank account! Man... i gotta work and start saving again! Man....

I decided to spend quite considerably because i want it to last for a long time (ok...also to be able to play Doom3 when it comes out). With computers, nothing don't last so long; not unlike game consoles where their life time is roughly about 4 to 5 years. I did my homework...y'know...did some researching and all. But in the end i ended up with something...very...different but satisfying none the less.

I kinda toy around on getting a 64 bit PC (now most are 32s) in the form of AMD Athlon 64. The thing is, you'd need an OS that will support the 64 bit thingie to get the most out of it...There's Windows XP 64 bit edition (there's a beta version) which is not out yet. There's Linux 64 bit OS but i'm really not familiar with it. I really wanna try out new technologies (64 bit) but i guess it's still early in development (for home PCs)...and there's not big a support still. 64 bit computers at the moment are used to do big stuff like animation and the sort. So i guess i'll back off till there's more people who can clarify their powerfulness in the gaming arena.

I build my PC from the ground up. I bought the desired components and went away. This was my first time putting together my very own PC and i have my bud, Efendi to thank. He's been great and taught me much. I've always wanted to do this for a long time but was put off for a couple of reasons and one of them is, afraid of breaking anything. Silly huh? It could happen i tell you but the most important thing is...you gotta be sober while working at it and just stay awake. What i mean is to know what ur doing. I thought it was hard at first but after finishing assembling it, i gotta tell u...it was quite a piece of cake and such a joy! I liked putting in the RAM (I was kinda scared before...even got into a nasty fight with my bud- weird huh?), the graphics card in the slot with a satisfying CLICK! Gotta love that!

So here's my PC spec...(nothing to brag about by the way, ehem)

Processor : Pentium 4, 3.0 gig (1mb cache) Hyper Threading
Motherboard : Intel D865PERL ,Usb 2.0, SATA, Dual DDR
HDD : SATA Seagate Barracuda 80 gig

Casing : Chenbro Gaming Bomb (I've fallen in love with it!)
and the best thing for last...
Graphics Card : Asus ATI Radeon 9800XT! 256mb!!!

Yowza!
